We launched the Mike Stokes Award at the Society’s meeting in December 2018 and details of how to enter were included in the Journal. There were no entries on this occasion so there will be no award for this year
For the future
Notwithstanding this year’s outcome, we hope to make this an annual award and, in the coming years, intend to expand the scope with a parallel award for schools as a way of encouraging further research and promoting interest in local history from an early age.
